Humanitarian aid
Due to the dire conditions in Afghanistan, many of Panah Charity's projects have focused on providing humanitarian aid to internally displaced Afghans within Afghanistan. Recent numbers indicate that as many as 240,000 innocent Afghans have been displaced from their homes due to an increase in armed-conflict in many regions of the country. Majority of these displaced individuals are families and widows with very young children, most of whom lack basic necessities such as shelter, food, and water. Panah’s goal is to provide these displaced individuals with the necessities they need to survive.

Self-Sufficiency Programs
Panah Charity's self-sufficiency programs were developed to offer those most needy in Afghanistan, many Afghan widowns, with the skills and tools needed to financially sustain themselves and their families. Through this effort, many of their children are able to attend schools instead of beg on streets, allowing them an opportunity to earn an education and a better life. The workshops also offer literary programs, teaching and enhancing the attendees ability to read and write.
